Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote dignity and comfort Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, noting changes in condition, and reporting findings to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following proper protocols and maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Facilitate safe patient transfers using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods Maintain cleanliness of residents' living areas by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring a hygienic environment Support residents with mobility, personal transportation, and community outings to foster engagement and independence Qualifications Valid Driver's License High School Diploma or equivalent Background Check (One can be administered in-office prior to employment) Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and caring for individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities is advantageous Ability to observe patients closely for changes in condition and accurately document observations for care plans Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus Experience with manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts, patient transfer methods, and patient personal care assistance is desirable Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams while respecting residents' rights Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols Join us if you're passionate about providing compassionate caregiving that enhances quality of life!
