Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for changes in health status, reporting any concerns promptly to supervising healthcare professionals. Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines to ensure privacy and safety. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. Document care plans, patient progress notes, and incident reports accurately while respecting residents' rights and confidentiality. Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe patient transfers and mobility support. Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or dementia care experience is highly valued. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, patient monitoring techniques, and first aid/CPR certification is required. Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and use patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts safely. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
