Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, home health, and community care environments. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and safety, and promote their independence and well-being. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that each person receives personalized, respectful care that enhances their quality of life. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation Medication reminders and follow prescribed care plans. Support clients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, ensuring a safe environment and engaging activities Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic living space for clients in accordance with health standards Follow detailed care plans developed by healthcare professionals, providing direct support aligned with each client's unique needs Document patient observations, progress notes, and any incidents thoroughly to ensure continuity of care Use proper techniques for heavy lifting or assistive device use to promote safety for both clients and caregivers Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques Certification in CPR and First Aid is essential; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care are a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and family members Demonstrated compassion, patience, and respect for diverse populations in caregiving roles Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations Join us in providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives. Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
