Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including pediatrics, hospice care, and outpatient services, and will be skilled in patient care across different environments. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health status. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during transitions. Maintain accurate records of patient care activities and report any changes in client conditions to healthcare professionals. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Ensure cleanliness and safety of the client's living environment. Skills Experience in pediatrics or hospice care is highly desirable. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or critical care patients is a plus. Proficient in using healthcare systems such as Epic for documentation and patient management. Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures if required by the care setting. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments like PICU or outpatient settings.
