7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Position Summary We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Personal Care Assistants to join our Supportive Care team. In this role, you will provide essential daily living support while promoting each resident's comfort, dignity, safety, well-being, and independence. The ideal candidate has a genuine desire to work with older adults and can provide personal care, mobility assistance, mealtime support, companionship, and other services in a warm and respectful manner. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, incontinence care, positioning, transfers, and mobility. Encourage residents to remain as independent as their abilities allow. Change bed linens and assist with collecting and distributing laundry, linens, and garments as permitted by applicable regulations. Accurately document resident care and complete all required forms and records. Promptly report changes in a resident's condition or other concerns to the supervisor in charge. Monitor and record vital signs as directed by regulations, community policies, or a healthcare provider's orders. Respond promptly to emergency call signals and requests for assistance. Follow all accident, disaster, fire-safety, elopement, infection-control, and emergency procedures. Promptly report incidents and complete all required documentation accurately and professionally. Immediately report suspected abuse, neglect, inappropriate care, or misuse of resident or community property. Learn residents' backgrounds, preferences, routines, habits, and interests while protecting their privacy and confidentiality. Support residents during mealtimes and help create an enjoyable dining experience. Assist residents with eating and with carrying plates, trays, and beverages as needed. Maintain clean, safe, and organized resident rooms, dining areas, public spaces, equipment, and work areas. Communicate professionally with residents, families, visitors, supervisors, vendors, and team members. Protect residents' rights, dignity, comfort, privacy, safety, and satisfaction. Answer telephone calls according to company and community standards when requested. Assist temporarily in other positions or departments when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Compassion for and a genuine desire to support older adults. Ability to provide respectful, resident-centered care in a supportive-care environment. Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and customer-service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate honesty, dependability, fairness, and ethical conduct. Ability to remain patient and professional when assisting individuals who may be ill, disabled, emotionally upset, or challenging. Ability to perform CPR upon successful completion of required CPR certification. Ability to follow care instructions, safety procedures, infection-control practices, and emergency protocols. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Ability to comply with all applicable health and safety requirements. Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Previous personal-care, caregiving, senior-living, supportive-care, home-care, or related experience. CPR and First Aid certification. Schedule and Work Environment Applicants must be available for one of the following schedules: Full-time second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Part-time first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additional or overtime hours may be available or required based on resident and community needs. Employees may be asked to assist temporarily in other positions when necessary. Availability may be required during emergencies, severe weather, evacuations, or other unexpected community situations. Work is performed in a supportive-care and residential environment with frequent interaction with residents, families, visitors, and team members. The position may involve varying temperatures and lighting, elevated noise levels, odors, cleaning products, hazardous chemicals, and potential exposure to communicable illnesses. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Sit, stand, and walk for short or extended periods. Frequently bend, reach, stoop, squat, push, and pull. Repeatedly use the hands, fingers, wrists, and arms. Assist residents safely with positioning, transfers, and mobility. Push, pull, and lift at least 25 pounds. Perform the essential responsibilities of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
