A Home Health Aide helps individuals who are disabled, elderly, or chronically ill with daily tasks, such as dressing, washing, and light housekeeping. They can care for patients in their homes or other healthcare settings, and may perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. These roles typically require more comprehensive agency-approved training programs.
Covenant Case Management Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Support Professionals to provide one-on-one care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the individual's needs are met and providing a safe and supportive environment both in the home and the community.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support, assistance, and companionship. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. Ensure the individual's safety and well-being in the home and community. Transport the individual to and from the Day Center. Assist the individual in completing daily living activities, including toileting, dressing, and supervision. Work with the individual at the Day Center.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass a background check. Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate and patient demeanor. Job Types Monday - Friday, Flexible 40 hrs
