We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals in need. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication reminders
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals under your care
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs
- Promote independence and respect resident rights
Qualifications:
- Experience in assisted living, direct support, or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and basic caregiving techniques
- Familiarity with IDD is a plus
- Understanding of resident rights and confidentiality (HIPAA)
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals
- Certification as a nurse assistant or in long-term care is beneficial
