Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide high-quality, personalized care to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in home healthcare, with experience working with diverse patient populations, including geriatric individuals, those with developmental disabilities, and patients requiring hospice or dementia care. This role offers weekly pay and provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by delivering respectful, attentive support in accordance with home health regulations and best practices. Duties Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and document vital signs accurately, maintaining detailed medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Administer medications as prescribed, following proper protocols for medication administration and catheter care when necessary. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment that promotes mental well-being. Support patients during end-of-life care or hospice situations with sensitivity and professionalism. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment tailored to individual needs. Observe patient conditions closely, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to supervising healthcare professionals. Follow all home healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times through proper medical documentation practices. Experience Prior experience working as a Home Health Aide or in assisted living facilities is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and medical documentation processes. Experience providing care for individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, basic life support (BLS), CPR certification, and first aid procedures. Familiarity with home health agency operations, hospice care protocols, and long-term care environments. Hands-on experience working with geriatric patients and managing complex care needs such as medication management and mobility assistance. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required and operate equipment like Hoyer lifts or other patient transfer devices effectively. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients' families and healthcare teams while maintaining professionalism and empathy. $14.25 - $17.00 per hour
