Direct Support Professional Carolina Prime Residential LLC Greensboro, NC Job Details Full-time $14 - $18 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Interpersonal skills Assisting with ADLs First Aid Certification Full Job Description We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with a military background or security guard background preferred but not required experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong situational awareness, crisis management skills, and a passion for working with individuals who require structured care and supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

 Provide direct care and supervision to male/female residents with intellectual disabilities and physical health concerns.  Implement safety plans and intervention strategies for individuals prone to elopement.  Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.  Monitor and document behavioral progress, incidents, and health-related concerns.  Use de-escalation techniques to manage crisis situations effectively.  Support residents in developing independent living and social skills.  Collaborate with healthcare professionals, case managers, and other staff to provide comprehensive care.  Maintain a secure and structured environment while fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Qualifications:

 Prior experience in military service, law enforcement, or security is highly preferred.  Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, behavioral challenges, or mental health conditions is a plus.  Ability to remain calm and take appropriate action in high-pressure situations.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.  Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.  CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).  Competitive starting pay at $18 per hour  Be able to work 12 hour shifts
