Responsibilities Supervise daily operations within the residential care home, ensuring high-quality support for residents with disabilities or age-related needs Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by administering medications, and recognizing signs of medical concerns such as seizures and/ or diabetes Lead care planning efforts, including behavior management strategies and individualized support plans tailored to each resident's needs Train and oversee staff members in safe patient lifting practices, manual handling techniques, and emergency procedures such as first aid and CPR Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, incident reports, medication administration, and compliance records Foster positive communication with residents' families, healthcare providers, and community resources to ensure comprehensive support Skills Skilled in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and safe patient lifting practices Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with residents with disabilities or cognitive impairments Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely for transportation needs within the community Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require home & community care services Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently Knowledge of cleaning protocols and maintaining a hygienic environment within residential settings Join us as a Direct Support Professional House Manager to lead compassionate caregiving efforts that empower residents to thrive.
