Job Description
Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with daily activities and personal care. In this vital role, you will provide dedicated assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being in various settings such as private homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and nursing homes. Your energetic and caring approach will help create a positive environment where clients feel valued and supported every day. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition to ensure safety and comfort Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to ensure safe movement Maintain accurate care plans, document patient progress, and communicate updates to healthcare teams in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and promote mental well-being Perform light cleaning duties to uphold a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health standards Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, home health care, hospice care, or long-term care environments is highly desirable Proven ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's disease), or other memory-related conditions Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and care plan implementation Experience using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices for patient transfer Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and basic life support are preferred but not required; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is appreciated Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining compassion and professionalism Join us if you're passionate about providing high-quality personal care with energy and dedication! Pay:
