Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Help with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs tailored to individual dietary requirements Provide patient transportation assistance within facilities or community outings using proper patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques Maintain cleanliness of client living spaces through regular cleaning tasks to promote hygiene and comfort Document patient observations, care activities, and updates accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and resident rights Assist with mobility support using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts for safe patient movement Support residents with cognitive impairments like dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing specialized memory care strategies Engage in patient monitoring during home health visits or hospice care to ensure ongoing safety and well-being Qualifications Proven experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance standards Hands-on experience with assisted living or geriatrics care preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely using proper techniques and equipment Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; ongoing training is encouraged Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus Knowledge of resident's rights and dementia or Alzheimer's care best practices Ability to assist with mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods safely and confidently Join our team as a Personal Care Assistant if you're passionate about providing exceptional support that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
