Job Description

General Duties and Responsibilities:
Help with prescribed exercises which the client and aide have been taught by appropriate professional personnel. The aide is responsible to provide or assist with personal care i.e., bathing/showering, grooming, care of mouth, shaving, dressing, etc. Assist with mobility including ambulation, transfers and bed mobility. Assist with toileting. Assist with eating. Assist with continence needs. Assist with prescribed exercises which have been taught by a health care practitioner licensed pursuant to G.S. 90. Verbally assist client with self-administration of medications which are ordered by a physician or other person authorized by state law to prescribe. Perform incidental household services which are essential to the client's care at home. Record and report changes in the client's condition, family situation or needs to the services provided. The aide is required to provide their own transportation to work. Completion of the required documentation to include timesheets, daily activity records, test, deviation, etc. Required to submit documents within the specific instructed timeframes. Complete ongoing in-service provided by the agency. Complete required competencies. Ensure all information given or received through this position is to handled in a confidential manner in accordance with state and federal regulations. Adhere to and follows Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA); and adheres to and follows all policies and procedures.
