Responsibilities You will provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities. We expect you to assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting, ensuring the comfort and privacy of each individual. You shall engage individuals in recreational and leisure activities, promoting social interaction and overall well-being. We expect you to follow established protocols and procedures for medication administration, accurately documenting all medications given. You will assist individuals in meal planning, preparation, and feeding, considering their dietary restrictions or preferences. We expect you to promote a safe and clean environment by maintaining cleanliness standards, organizing living spaces, and performing light housekeeping duties. You shall effectively communicate and collaborate with team members, families, and other professionals involved in the care of individuals, providing updates and participating in meetings as required. We expect you to observe and report any significant changes in an individual's behavior, health, or emotional status to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional. Requirements As a Direct Support Provider at Lifes Good Stay Here, you must have strong communication skills to effectively interact and engage with individuals we support and their families. You should be able to demonstrate empathy and compassion in your interactions, understanding the unique needs and challenges of each individual. You must possess excellent problem-solving abilities, finding creative solutions to address any issues or concerns that may arise for our clients. It is essential that you have strong organizational skills, allowing you to efficiently manage schedules, appointments, and documentation related to the care and support provided.
