A Home Health Aide helps individuals who are disabled, elderly, or chronically ill with daily tasks, such as dressing, washing, and light housekeeping. They can care for patients in their homes or other healthcare settings, and may perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. These roles typically require more comprehensive agency-approved training programs.
3:00 PM-11:00 PM Every other weekend: Schedule to be determined Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential. Applicants must be available to work the required evening and alternating-weekend schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct support and assistance based on each individual's needs and care plan. Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and household tasks. Encourage individuals to develop and maintain independence and daily living skills. Provide companionship and encourage participation in recreational and community activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment. Monitor individuals and report changes in behavior, health, or overall well-being to the appropriate supervisor. Follow individual care plans, safety procedures, and company policies. Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and required reports. Support individuals with maintaining routines and meeting personal goals. Communicate professionally and respectfully with individuals, families, coworkers, and supervisors. Protect each individual's dignity, privacy, rights, and confidentiality. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established emergency procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in caregiving, direct support, healthcare, behavioral health, or a related field is preferred. Must be dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to remain attentive and engaged throughout an evening shift. Must be able to pass required background checks and meet all applicable employment requirements.
