In this role, you will provide personalized support to residents in a small, homelike setting. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, administering medications safely, preparing meals, and ensuring each resident's comfort and well-being. This position requires patience, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to caring for seniors in a warm, family-style environment.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREENING.
Duties Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and eating while promoting independence whenever possible. Administer medications safely as prescribed, maintain accurate documentation, and promptly report any concerns or changes to nursing staff or administrators. Follow individualized care plans as directed, ensuring residents receive personalized support that meets their physical, emotional, and medical needs. Support and encourage resident participation in the daily activities schedule, promoting social interaction, companionship, and overall well-being. Monitor residents' conditions, including changes in health, behavior, or appetite, and immediately communicate observations to the appropriate staff. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment by following infection control, safety, and emergency procedures. Provide compassionate, respectful care that upholds the dignity and privacy of each resident. Cooking homestyle meals according to the menu and resident careplans. Be available for weekday dayshifts 7am-7pm or weekend day shifts 7am-7pm Skills Experience in assisted living is preferred. Knowledge of caregiving practices for seniors. Skilled in accurate medication management, including documenting administration and maintaining up-to-date resident medication records. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, administrators and healthcare professionals. Compassionate and patient, with a commitment to preserving resident dignity, privacy, and independence. Knowledge of proper infection control, safety, and emergency procedures in a family care home setting. Experience supporting individuals with dementia, memory care, or other specialized needs is a plus. Reliable, dependable, and able to work as part of a small, dedicated team.
