Direct Support Professional Shift Details:
Every Other Weekend 1st Shift/ Every Other Weekend 2nd Shift We are looking for a Direct Support Professional to join LIFE, Inc. - New Bern. This job is located in Newport, NC, and pays $17.50 per hour, paid every two weeks. In this role, you will help people with daily tasks like dressing, bathing, eating, and taking their medication. You will also support them with cleaning, cooking, and joining in activities at school or in the community. You will work as part of a team to make sure everyone is safe and well cared for. Responsibilities Help people with dressing, bathing, toileting, and other personal care Support clients during meal times to encourage family-style dining Assist with cleaning, laundry, and yard work Help prepare meals and nutritional supplements Make sure medication is given correctly Follow special diet plans and use adaptive equipment Carry out behavior programs and keep records Support active treatment plans and track progress Work with the team and share important client information Drive clients safely in company vehicles when needed Help clients during outings and activities Do other tasks as asked by managers Requirements High School Diploma or GED North Carolina Driver's License At least 21 years old Benefits Good pay Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Annual longevity bonus Opportunities to grow and learn About the Company LIFE, Inc. - New Bern is dedicated to supporting people with their daily lives and helping them reach their goals.
