Job Description

1st Shift Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Schedule:
Days:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:00
PM Position Overview:
A Caring Heart Case Management is seeking a dedicated and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. This role provides direct support, supervision, and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured, person-centered environment. This position primarily supports our Respite House program . When respite services are not in operation, staff may be assigned to our Day Program Center to ensure consistent full-time hours and continued support of individuals served.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care, supervision, and behavioral support in a residential respite setting Assist individuals with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, mobility, and engagement Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment at all times Implement individualized care plans with consistency and professionalism Accurately document services, observations, and incidents as required Provide support at the Day Program Center when respite services are not active Uphold agency policies, procedures, and all applicable state regulations
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required Valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience Reliable transportation with current insurance, registration, and inspection Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Strong commitment to person-centered care and supporting individuals with
IDD Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in direct care, caregiving, or human services Strong reliability, professionalism, and ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred but not required)

Are you able to physically push, pull, or lift 25 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds unassisted occasionally?
