Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Full-Time, Part-Time & PRN Allamor Support Services is seeking dependable, compassionate, and patient Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one support to individuals receiving community-based and in-home services in Winston-Salem, NC and surrounding areas. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and/or behavioral health support needs build independence, participate in their community, and develop daily living skills. Schedule & Pay Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities available Day, evening, and weekend availability may be needed Approximately 10-40 hours per week depending on member assignments and employee availability $15.00-$18.00 per hour, based on experience Additional hours may become available as client needs and assignments grow Flexible scheduling based on approved services and family/member schedules Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support in the home and community Assist with activities of daily living and personal care as needed Support communication, choice-making, and independence Encourage participation in age-appropriate home and community activities Maintain safety and provide appropriate supervision Follow each individual's person-centered service plan and support strategies Provide calm and appropriate redirection during challenging behaviors Complete required service documentation accurately and on time Communicate professionally with individuals, families, guardians, QPs, and the Allamor Support Services team Transport individuals to community activities or appointments when assigned and authorized About the Role DSPs may support adolescents or adults with I/DD, autism, communication limitations, behavioral health support needs, personal care needs, or challenging behaviors. Applicants should be comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings and maintaining a calm, patient, and supportive approach during challenging situations.
