The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides compassionate, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live safe, meaningful, and independent lives.Key Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with evening routines, including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation in their homes. Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all activities. Maintain accurate documentation. Support skill development, communication, and positive social interactions. Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established procedures. Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Program Coordinators, families, and team members.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred. Must be an eligible driver for RRHSF Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and complete ongoing training requirements. Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate, respectful attitude.Skills & Competencies:
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Effective communication skills. Ability to follow care plans and agency policies. Strong problem-solving skills. Starting wage of $18.50!
