We're hiring a Direct Support Professional to join a team of about 15 DSPs in a family home setting in East Lincoln, where we support two adult men. Why this job is different Meaningful work. The pay. $24.25/hour, well above the going rate for DSP work in Lincoln, and your training is paid. One-on-one care. You are not working with a group of individuals. You're assigned to one person for your shift. A schedule you can count on. You'll be scheduled for the same shifts every week, and you'll know who you're coming in to work with. A small non-profit, not a large agency. The money goes into services for the people we support and to the DSPs who do the work. An outstanding team. What you'll do Provide one-on-one support to the person you're assigned to throughout your shift, working alongside other DSPs. Help with daily living, including personal hygiene care (bathing, showering, toileting, and brushing teeth). Drive the person you're working with to community outings: parks, stores, restaurants, and other places around town. Stay active together with walks, games, and the activities they enjoy. Shifts we're hiring for (permanent, same days every week) Monday, 3:00-9:00 PM Wednesday, 3:00-9:00 PM Friday, 3:00-9:00 PM Saturday, 2:00-9:00 PM Sunday, 2:00-9:00 PM Ideally, we're looking for someone who can commit to at least two or three shifts. More is better. Extra sub shifts open up most weeks if you want additional hours. Training All training is paid, and we'll guide you through it. You'll start with orientation, which you can work through at your own pace. Then, you'll do in-person training alongside highly skilled DSP staff as you get to know the participant you'll be supporting. You'll meet the rest of the team as you go. They'll be there to help during training and long after it. Some people come to us already holding the certifications this work requires, and that's great. If you don't have them yet, we provide the training. You won't work a shift on your own until you have every certification the role requires, you've gotten to know the participant you'll be working with, and you feel ready to go.
