What Does a Resident Care Assistant Do? Our Resident Care Assistants help residents maintain their independence while providing assistance where it is needed.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting seniors with activities of daily living and personal care Providing reassurance, companionship and respectful support Observing residents and communicating changes or concerns to the nursing team Helping residents with their daily routines Assisting with meal service and other resident needs Helping maintain a clean, comfortable and welcoming home environment Completing assigned documentation Working cooperatively with nursing, dietary, housekeeping and other departments Pitching in as part of a team when residents or coworkers need assistance This is a hands-on position for someone who notices the little things and takes pride in doing a job well. Who Are We Looking For? Previous LNA, PCA, caregiving or senior living experience is certainly welcomed — but it is not required for every position. We are equally interested in finding people with the right character and work ethic.

Weekend & Holiday Availability Senior living is a 24-hour, 365-day-a-year responsibility , so applicants must understand that some weekend and holiday participation is part of the position. Employees are generally required to work: Every other weekend OR four weekend days per month A designated number of holidays throughout the year Weekend shifts receive an additional $2.00 per hour shift differential.
