Due to the nature of the client's personal care, hygiene, and privacy needs, a female DSP is being sought for this assignment, where permitted by applicable law. The ideal candidate will be patient, responsible, attentive, and comfortable assisting with personal care while promoting the client's safety, dignity, comfort, and independence. Spanish-speaking ability is required for effective communication with the client and family. Responsibilities Assist with medication refills, including picking up medications and making necessary calls. Communicate with doctors' offices, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers as needed. Accompany the client to medical appointments. Assist with diaper changes and personal hygiene. Assist with dressing and grooming. Take the client to haircuts and other personal care appointments. Assist with brushing teeth and maintaining oral hygiene. Run errands on behalf of the client. Provide transportation and community-based support as needed. Communicate appropriately with the client's family and care team. Observe and report relevant changes or concerns regarding the client's health, safety, or well-being. Provide additional day-to-day support as needed to help the client remain safe, comfortable, and cared for. Experience & Qualifications Must be able to communicate effectively in Spanish. Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), caregiver, personal care assistant, home health aide, or similar direct-care professional is preferred. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred. Must be comfortable assisting with diaper changes, personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and oral care. Must be compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional. Ability to communicate professionally with family members, healthcare providers, and members of the client's care team. Ability to maintain the client's dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and professional boundaries. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Must successfully complete all applicable background checks, training, and employment requirements.
