URGENTLY HIRING HOME HEALTH AIDES
Homewatch CareGivers of Cape May is urgently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to serve as Home Health Aides. HHA certified candidates are preferred. In this position you will provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. Towns we service include but are not limited to; in Cape May County; Avalon, Stone Harbor, Wildwood, North Wildwood, Cape May, and Marmora. We also service Atlantic County in the following towns; Hammonton, Mays Landing, Galloway, Smithville, Absecon, and Egg Harbor Township. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their overall well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care. Duties Include Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming (HHA Certified) and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and document patient health status, including vital signs and any changes in condition. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation as required by healthcare protocols. Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring patient safety at all times. Assist with memory care activities for patients experiencing cognitive challenges. Launder patient clothing and bedding as needed to maintain hygiene standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Experience Current Certification as a HHA is required for some positions and is preferred. Previous experience in caregiving or home health aide roles is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is highly desirable Experience in long-term care settings is a plus, especially for those working with elderly or disabled patients. Certification in CPR and First Aid is advantageous. Strong observational skills to recognize changes in patient conditions effectively. Salary range starting at $18.00 - $20.00 an hour dependent on case complexibility.
