We are currently seeking a caring and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) in or around Oak Ridge, NJ to join our growing team! What You'll Do As a DSP, you'll do more than provide care — you'll help individuals build confidence, independence, social connections, and everyday life skills.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities in home and community settings Encouraging independence, self-help skills, and community inclusion Assisting with daily living tasks such as meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping Transporting or meeting clients in the community for activities, appointments, and outings Promoting safety, dignity, and emotional well-being at all times Serving as a positive role model and companion Assisting with Person-Centered Plans and goal development Communicating any concerns or changes to management promptly Why Join Thee Agency? Paid Training Includes:
Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) College of Direct Support (CDS) trainings CPR & First Aid Emergency Procedures What We're Looking For Minimum 18 years of age High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and professionalism Ability to engage in physical activities Ability to read and write in English Employment Requirements Due to the nature of our services, all employees must complete: Criminal background check Drug screening CARI check Central Registry screening Required exclusionary checks Location Oak Ridge, NJ 07438 Candidates should live locally or be willing to commute.
