Responsibilities May Include:

Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support on a case by case basis. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and noting changes in condition Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and medical documentation protocols Support patients with medical procedures such as catheter care and wound management when trained and authorized Maintain detailed records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Provide companionship and emotional support, especially for individuals with dementia or experiencing end-of-life care needs Case by case - assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment Use proper patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer techniques to ensure safety during mobility assistance Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, geriatrics, or in hospice care environments Strong knowledge of home healthcare regulations, medical terminology, and documentation standards Excellent patient observation skills to detect changes in condition promptly Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with clients and healthcare teams Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and home health care assistance tools Knowledge of CPR and First Aid certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred Experience with Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and working with patients who have chronic or complex health conditions Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with patient transfers safely

Requirements:

Active HHA certificate (required, must be certified to apply) Eligible to work in the US High school diploma or GED Must provide relevant and verifiable employment history for the past 12 months Must pass background check, TB test, and provide proof of MMR and Hepatitis B Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance for placements in NJ preferred but not required English proficiency required. Spanish, Russian, Mandarin a plus but not required.

Schedule options:

Full-time, part-time, per diem, you choose. Weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings, nights available.
