Friends of the Family Child Care Center is Hiring! Before & Aftercare Program Staff & Assitants - School-Age Downtown Metuchen, NJ We're a full-service child care center in the heart of downtown Metuchen, and we're looking for enthusiastic, responsible, and playful staff members to join our Before & Aftercare team for school-age children (PreK-4th grade). What You'll Do:
Supervise and engage children in fun, age-appropriate activities (sports, crafts, games, homework help) Create a safe, structured, and welcoming environment each afternoon Encourage teamwork, responsibility, and positive behavior Communicate with families and staff to ensure smooth transitions from school to aftercare Help keep spaces organized and ensure children clean up before moving on to new activities
What We're Looking For:
Prior experience working with children (camp, babysitting, coaching, or classroom) preferred Must be 17 years or older PATIENCE, FLEXIBILITY, and a positive attitude are essential! Playful, energetic personality with a love for working with kids Ability to lead small and large group activities while keeping children safe and engaged
Before Care Shift:
7am - 9am
Aftercare:
2:15pm - 6:30pm ( School age
Half Days:

Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$16.50 - $18.00 per hour
