This client lives with dementia and benefits from a patient, attentive caregiver who can provide support with daily routines while promoting independence and safety. A small dog is also in the home and will need basic care during the shift. What This Client Needs Experience providing care for clients with dementia or memory-related needs Patient, calm, and attentive approach to dementia care Assistance with personal care and daily living activities as needed Encourage the client to shower while the caregiver is present for safety due to fall risk; client is able to shower independently Assist with the client's small dog, including letting the dog outside to use the bathroom and feeding the pet Ability to recognize changes in the client's condition, routine, or behavior and communicate appropriately Responsibilities Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) Encourage and supervise safe showering due to fall risk while allowing the client to maintain independence Ambulation and mobility assistance as needed Meal preparation Medication reminders Change bed linens Clear and wash dishes Maintain a tidy and safe client care area Provide basic care for the client's small dog, including letting the dog outside and feeding the pet Documentation of care provided according to the care plan Requirements Active New Jersey CHHA certification Reliable transportation to and from the Mt.
