The DSP will assist participants with daily activities, skill development, community integration, and achieving greater independence while promoting dignity, choice, safety, and inclusion. Essential Responsibilities Provide direct support and supervision to participants throughout the day. Assist individuals with developing and maintaining daily living, social, communication, and vocational skills. Implement individualized service plans and follow established goals and support strategies. Communicate effectively with participants, families, coworkers, and other service providers. Provide support in both English and Spanish as needed to participants and families. Assist participants with community outings, recreational activities, appointments, and other activities. Encourage independence and participation in meaningful activities. Support individuals with personal care needs, when required. Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment. Document participant activities, progress, incidents, and services accurately and on time. Follow all agency policies, state regulations, health and safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements. Report changes in participant behavior, health, or safety to the appropriate supervisor. Work as part of a team to support each participant's individual needs and goals. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred. Fluency in Spanish and English required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, compassionate, reliable, and respectful. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Must be able to complete required training and background checks. Ability to safely assist participants with daily activities and physical support when required. Schedule Full-time or part-time positions available. Daytime hours, Monday-Friday. Occasional community outings or schedule adjustments may be required. Physical Requirements The position may require standing, walking, bending, lifting, assisting with transfers, and providing physical support to participants, depending on individual needs.
