Job Description

Anchor Behavioral Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dependable Day Support Professional to join our Day Habilitation team in North Brunswick, NJ. The Day Support Professional provides hands-on training, education, and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them build the skills necessary to engage meaningfully in day program activities and their local community. Support will be guided by each individual's service plan and may include areas such as problem-solving, adaptive behavior, daily living, social interaction, and leisure activities. The Day Support Professional will also assist in the implementation of behavioral plans, data collection, and engagement in both in-house and community-based experiences. This role requires enthusiasm, flexibility, and a commitment to fostering independence and dignity in the individuals served.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
Fulltime Day Support Professional Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8 AM - 4 PM
HOW YOU'LL KEEP US ANCHORED
Responsibilities Provide personal care, assistance, and skills training based on individual needs Support clients in developing problem-solving, social, daily living, and leisure skills Implement behavioral strategies and collect data as outlined in service plans Facilitate small and large group activities in the day program and in community settings Teach and lead group sessions within the day habilitation environment Assist in creating weekly schedules and planning meaningful community-based activities Transport clients to and from the program each day via company vehicle Work cooperatively with all program staff and supervisors to meet individual client goals Promote social interaction, inclusion, and self-advocacy among clients Maintain accurate documentation and uphold client confidentiality Position Type Full-Time On-site role at the Day Habilitation program Work Environment & Physical Demands The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Minimum Qualifications At least one (1) year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities Familiarity with—or willingness to learn—behavioral day habilitation and/or social supports Education Requirements Minimum of a high-school diploma or equivalent Training & Other Requirements Valid Driver's License Current CPR, Crisis Management, and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain) Completion of ABS new-hire training upon onboarding Successful criminal-history review and background check with clean driving record Negative drug screening Familiarity with and access to smartphone technology •
