Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our team in the North Brunswick, Franklin Park areas. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines while documenting care activities in medical records. Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry, ensuring a safe and clean environment for clients. Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure comfort, understanding of care plans, and ongoing support. Requirements Valid Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification or equivalent license. Proven experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of medical terminology, home health care assistance procedures, and patient personal care assistance techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Familiarity with home health agency operations, home & community care standards, and relevant regulations including HIPAA and OSHA standards. Current certifications in First Aid and CPR (Basic Life Support). Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and maintaining patient confidentiality.
