Friends of Cyrus (FOC) is currently looking for responsible, caring, and compassionate Full-Time, and Part Time, Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our Day Habilitation team. Fantastic opportunity for professional growth, while making a difference! Higher wages! Experience with DDD regulations Required. Preferred experience 1:1 with those with high acuity. Prior experience working with adults with developmental disabilities in a Day Program or Residential Program in NJ is essential. Duties include, but are not limited to: Supporting FOC program participants in their daily lives with activities including community outings, recreational events, cooking, personal care, and skill development Transporting FOC program participants to their activities, events, and places of employment Administering and supervising medication for FOC program participants Completing proper electronic documentation Ensuring FOC program participants are safe, healthy, and engaged in meaningful ways Applicants must have: Patience and a desire to be helpful and engaged with clients at all times during program hours The ability to follow direction and adapt to changes in direction from supervisors and clinicians Good verbal and written communication skills A minimum of 1 year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities/autism Clean driving record The ability to be creative and find new ways to create engagement for assigned clients is a plus.
