Job Description:
The Arc of Monmouth serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in group homes . We are seeking qualified Direct Support Professional candidates for positions in our Monmouth County group homes.
Summary:
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the group home. DSPs assist residents with meal preparation, personal care, transportation, behavior management, and more. This is a challenging yet rewarding position.
Responsibilities:
Teach, monitor, engage, and assist residents in all activities of daily living and social interactions Implement methods and techniques to assist residents in attaining service plan objectives Transport residents to various appointments and activities Administer medications, as required Complete daily logs and written reports in electronic records systems
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent 18 years or older Valid NJ Driver's License with 5 or less points( Not probationary ) Computer skills Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferred.' Starting pay is $16.46/hr until the four- month probation period is completed. Then goes to $21.46/hr
