We are seeking compassionate, flexible, and experienced support staff in the Reno/Sparks area.

Position Responsibilities:

Encourage independence of people served by maintaining a culture of teaching, not caregiving or "doing for" people. Implement plans to help people work towards goals in all life areas by collecting data and documenting progress. Understand the physical, social, emotional and behavioral health needs of the person. Support and assist people served in learning and completing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, daily maintenance of home to include cleaning activities. Assist with mobility to include assisting with persons who use wheelchairs or adaptive equipment. Maintain a current driver's license and identification and provide transportation (preferred, not required) Provide oversight for health and safety Assist with scheduling and attending medical appointments

Essential Skills:

Personable and general knowledge of Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, Cerebral palsy, behavioral health and other related conditions Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) (not required for all positions) Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) and/or speech/language pathology Familiar with data collection and teaching methods All trainings will be provided to include but not limited to: Person-centered supports Intellectual Disability & Mental health as co-occurring disorders Mistreatment/Incident Reporting Positive Behavioral Supports CPR/First Aide Immediate openings: All shifts (Mornings, evenings, nights) Weekends 20-40 hours per week Starting at $13-$16/hour DOE Please e-mail Jessica at or call (775) 545-7854 for an application.
