In this role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and well-being, and promote independence while ensuring a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment. Your dedication will help enhance the quality of life for those you serve, making a meaningful difference every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure proper manual handling techniques for safe patient transfers Maintain cleanliness of client living spaces by performing light cleaning tasks and ensuring a hygienic environment Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care strategies and engaging in therapeutic activities Assist with transportation needs for appointments or community outings, ensuring client safety at all times Follow established care plans meticulously, collaborating with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care Respond promptly to emergency situations using first aid or CPR when required, adhering to safety protocols Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration procedures Experience providing dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or memory care is advantageous Familiarity with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and meal preparation to support overall well-being Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications related to hospice care or neurodevelopmental disorders are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful personal care assistance in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Join our team where your caring nature makes a real impact!
