Job Description

Overview We are hiring caring, dependable, and compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCA) / Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide hands-on support and assistance to individuals with daily living needs. The ideal candidate is patient, respectful, responsible, and committed to helping individuals maintain their independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life. Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), as appropriate to the individual's needs and service plan. Provide assistance with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene. Provide companionship and emotional support. Assist with meal preparation and feeding, when needed. Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean and safe living environment. Assist individuals with shopping, errands, appointments, and community activities when assigned. Encourage individuals to participate in social, recreational, and community activities. Support individuals in developing and maintaining independence and daily living skills. Follow all health, safety, confidentiality, and agency policies and procedures. Maintain professional boundaries and treat every individual with dignity and respect. Perform other duties related to the individual's care and support as assigned. Requirements Previous experience as a PCA, DSP, caregiver, home care aide, or similar role is preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental needs is a plus. Must be dependable, compassionate, patient, and professional. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and supervisors. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Must be able to perform the physical duties required for the position. Background check and other required screening may be required. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
