What You'll Do Work with individuals to plan, coordinate, and participate in social, recreational, and community activities. Provide compassionate care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home setting. Help the people you support direct the course of their own lives by promoting advocacy, self-confidence, choice, and independence. Support the emotional, physical, and personal well-being of the people receiving services. Assist with daily tasks, routines, and household activities. Teach and reinforce important life skills, including money management, shopping, meal preparation, and maintaining a home. Assist with personal care and hygiene as needed.
