Direct Support Professional - Community Services Support, Empower, and Make a Difference Every Day Join our Community Services team and make a meaningful difference by supporting people with disabilities as they build independence and live fulfilling lives in their communities. You'll provide person-centered support, encourage community involvement, help individuals achieve their personal goals, and promote choice, dignity, and inclusion every step of the way.
Position Details Location:
Hudson, NY Pay Rate:
$17.00-$17.50 per hour (based on program)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM or Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (depending on program) Why Join The Arc Columbia-Saratoga? Key Responsibilities Support people we support in making choices and decisions that promote independence and self-advocacy. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks, as needed. Encourage participation in community activities, volunteer opportunities, recreational events, and social experiences. Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment while promoting dignity and inclusion. Assist people we support in achieving personal goals and developing life skills. Document services provided and communicate progress to ensure person-centered support. Follow all agency policies, required training, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.
