. We have 4, 6 , 8 and 12hour shifts available. Overtime Accepted!
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and assistance to clients in their homes or in assisted living facilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and report changes in clients' physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Skills:
- Experience in senior care, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities is preferred
- Knowledge of basic meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions
- Ability to assist with lifting and transferring clients safely
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate and patient demeanor to provide emotional support to clients
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work 7am
- 7pm or 8am
- 8pm•Ability to travel in the greater Erie and Niagara area preferred.
