Job Description

Lexington Center, the largest provider of outpatient and residential substance use disorder services in the Hudson Valley , is seeking Direct Support Staff for our Community Residence in Montebello. Prior experience working with people with a substance use disorder is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. We are seeking candidates who can work OVERNIGHTS and
WEEKENDS.
Direct Support Professional Responsibilities:
Assist and mentor clients in their recovery process Search all client bags at admission and follows all intake procedures Assists in supervision of clients while completing hourly rounds to ensure safety and well-being Ensures compliance to daily schedule Completes and forwards copy of Incident Reports and any other safety/risk issues to supervisor Documents all behavioral issues in the client chart Build positive relationships with clients and staff Provides a safe and therapeutic environment for all staff and clients Recognizes, responds to, and assists in crisis situations and provide the necessary intervention Responds and assists in medical emergency situations as directed and needed Communicates effectively with client and interdisciplinary team regarding client needs Assists with chart documentation and compliance Adheres to all program policies and procedures while ensuring client safety at all times Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
A high school diploma or equivalent Must be able to work flexible work hours Comfortable working independently and can consistently make good judgment Friendly disposition with a positive "can do" Attitude Strong interpersonal skills and passionate about helping those in need Background Check, Fingerprinting and State Central Registry is required EEO Statement Lexington Center for Recovery is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
