Job Description

Indera formerly known as ARISE Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide community habilitation services in the Oswego, NY area with a man in his early 40s. He has nursing staff 24 hours a day to provide personal care, so job activities are related to home/independent living tasks and community involvement. When going out into the community, nursing staff accompanies DSP, so you are never alone with the individual. A wheelchair accessible van is utilized on all outings; DSP will not need to use their own vehicle during work hours. New hires will be provided with training, support, and guidance from both the individual and the agency on how best to provide support and deliver services. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and caring. Prior experience is a plus but not necessary. Reliable transportation, driver's license, and a high school diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the agency. Hiring for 9am to 5 pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (hours are flexible) with a payrate of $23.50/hr. Indera is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
