Job Overview We are looking for experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who have experience working with children who have complex medical, physical, and developmental needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing one-on-one support to children who may require a higher level of care, supervision, and attention due to their medical needs. Candidates should have experience working with children who require specialized support and be comfortable following individualized care instructions, monitoring their well-being, and communicating with parents, caregivers, and the care team. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support and supervision to children with complex medical, physical, and developmental needs Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, hygiene, dressing, meals, and other daily activities as needed Support children with mobility, positioning, transfers, and other physical care needs within the scope of the role and individualized care plan Follow individualized service plans, care instructions, and established safety procedures Closely monitor the child's well-being and report any changes, concerns, or unusual observations to the appropriate parent, caregiver, or care team member Provide additional supervision and support for children who require a higher level of care due to their medical or physical needs Support children with age-appropriate recreational, social, and community activities Encourage independence, communication, social skills, and developmental goals Maintain a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment for the child Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and members of the child's care team Skills Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices Proficiency in American Sign Language is highly preferred for enhanced communication Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for client transportation assistance Background in home & community care environments supporting clients with cognitive disabilities Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during emergencies Experience working with clients requiring assistance with ADLs and caregiving tasks Familiarity with social services systems and client advocacy efforts Join us in empowering individuals with disabilities by providing compassionate support that fosters independence and enriches lives. Pay:
