Duties Assist with patient transfers using proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods to ensure safety and comfort. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately in electronic health records (EHR). Support clinical teams by preparing and operating medical equipment, including monitors, infusion pumps, and other essential devices. Provide personal care to patients, including hygiene assistance, mobility support, and feeding as needed while respecting patient dignity and maintaining confidentiality. Follow infection control protocols diligently to prevent the spread of care facility infections and uphold high standards of patient safety. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to relay important information about patient status or needs. Assist in medical documentation processes ensuring accuracy in recording treatments, observations, and interventions aligned with medical terminology standards. Experience Prior experience working in hospital medicine or emergency medicine environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated competence in Level I Trauma Center or Level II trauma center settings is preferred. Experience supporting geriatric patients or working within geriatrics units enhances your ability to meet diverse patient needs. Familiarity with PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), surgical units such as OR (Operating Room), or post-acute care settings adds valuable expertise. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required; additional certifications related to infection control or medical equipment operation are advantageous. Proven ability to work effectively in inpatient or outpatient clinics with acute or sub-acute care experience demonstrates adaptability and commitment. Strong knowledge of medical terminology combined with excellent caregiver communication skills ensures clear understanding among team members and patients alike.
