•HHA Permanent Live- in cases in Yonkers, New York- Male Preferred Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) for a live-in case in. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in home healthcare, particularly with geriatric patients and individuals with disabilities. This role involves providing personalized patient care in a home setting, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity while adhering to all healthcare regulations. The Certified HHA will work closely with client to support their daily needs and promote independence. Male client with epilepsy Uses a wheelchair but can ambulate approximately 20 feet Able to use the bathroom Needs assistance with dressing and bathing Meal preparation Light housekeeping Running errands with the client Male or female caregiver is fine Must be a driver Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper medication management and adherence to protocols. Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, end-of-life care, and memory care. Utilize patient transfer methods safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while documenting medical records accurately. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry. Requirements Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) with live-in employment experience preferred. Proven experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or palliative care. Knowledge of home health care regulations, medical terminology, and documentation standards such as EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts. Certifications in CPR and First Aid; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Experience working within home health agencies or in long-term care environments is advantageous. Must drive licence Must be willing to meet with client family prior to starting the case .
