Assist individuals with boarding, exiting, wheelchair securement, and seatbelt use. Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion during transportation services. Support individuals in maintaining positive social interactions and community participation. Maintain appropriate supervision and ensure participant safety at all times. Communicate transportation needs, service concerns, and individual support needs. Operate agency vehicles safely and professionally in all weather conditions. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT physical. Ability to pass criminal background, driving record, drug, and alcohol screening requirements. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to complete required training and maintain certifications. Preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Experience in transportation, caregiving, healthcare, customer service, education, or human services Wheelchair transportation experience No experience? Push wheelchairs and assist with mobility equipment. Bend, twist, reach, and assist passengers as needed. Work in various weather conditions while providing transportation services.
