Job Description
Under direct supervision of the appropriate House Manager and/or Service Coordinator, the Resident Support Staff performs and supports all services for individuals residing in the residential setting at St. John's Villa according to their Individual Service Plan (ISP) and/or their Behavior Support Plan (BSP). The Resident Support Staff will provide a positive and rewarding home like experience while following all guidelines as set forth through St. John's Villa, The State of Ohio DODD and the Carroll County Board of DD. The Resident Support Staff is responsible for upholding and practicing the policies, philosophy and mission statement of St. John's Villa in a professional manner at all times.
- Assist with the Hygiene needs of all individuals with either verbal or physical assistance as directed in their Individual Service Plan (ISP) when toileting, showering or dressing is needed
- Deal with behavioral issues by utilizing the approved blocking techniques as explained in their Behavior Support Plan (BSP) when necessary
- Assist individuals with all housekeeping tasks, including: cooking, cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, making beds, dusting, etc.
- Driving individuals to appointments or outings
