Competitive pay based on experience (overtime eligibility) About the Position We are looking for compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in providing in-home support to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you will work directly in an individual's home and community to help them live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice, safety, and quality of life. Responsibilities Provide individualized, hands-on support based on each person's needs and goals Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and other household tasks Support individuals with community activities, appointments, shopping, recreation, and social activities Encourage independence and help individuals develop and maintain life skills Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction Follow individual service plans and behavioral/support guidelines Assist with medication reminders or medication-related tasks as permitted by training and applicable regulations Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment Accurately document services and communicate important information to supervisors and team members Respect each individual's privacy, dignity, rights, and personal choices What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Compassionate, patient, and respectful Dependable and responsible Comfortable working independently in an individual's home Able to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and coworkers Willing to learn and follow individualized support plans Comfortable assisting with personal care and daily living activities A team player who genuinely enjoys helping others Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. We provide training for the right candidate. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required Must be able to pass required background checks and screenings Must be able to complete required training Must have at least 2 years of experience working with individuals that may have maladaptive behaviors Why Join Our Team?
