Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity. Support clients with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain health and safety. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, especially in memory care or dementia settings. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs. Use proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility assistance. Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, progress notes, and incident reports in compliance with healthcare standards. Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings, promoting social engagement and independence. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities, autism, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Knowledge of care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements related to patient information. Ability to perform patient personal care assistance safely using manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods.
