Operate patient transfer methods safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer techniques to prevent injury. Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe living environment for clients. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while communicating effectively with clients and their families to ensure personalized care plans are followed. Use EMR systems for accurate documentation of patient interactions, medical records, and care activities. Respond promptly to emergencies by applying first aid or basic life support (BLS) techniques such as CPR when necessary. Support clients in community settings or during live-in employment arrangements, ensuring consistent quality of care across various environments. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare agencies is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities enhances your ability to provide specialized support. Knowledge of medical terminology, catheter care, medication management, and vital signs measurement is essential for delivering safe patient care.
