In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being in various settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, or community-based programs. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support due to fall risk. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping tasks like cleaning to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Monitor patients' sugar levels and health status, and document observations accurately while respecting resident's rights and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Facilitate transportation for appointments or community outings using personal transportation assistance skills while ensuring safety at all times. Observe patients closely for signs of distress or behavioral changes, especially when working with individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders, providing timely reports to supervisors. Maintain a clean and organized environment by adhering to infection control protocols and performing routine cleaning duties to promote health and safety standards. We are looking for individuals to cover Friday through Sunday, 8-12 hour shifts, day shift and night shift. Shifts will alternate. Experience Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or seniors is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication administration procedures, and first aid/CPR certification is essential. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
